
Mainframe Systems Admin Intern
We are looking for an enthusiastic Mainframe Systems Admin Intern to join IBM's team. As a Mainframe Systems Admin Intern you will be responsible for technical support and maintenance of IBM's mainframe systems. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity to learn about mainframe systems and gain experience in the IT industry.The ideal candidate has a strong technical background and is passionate about learning new technologies. We are looking for someone with excellent problem-solving and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.To be successful in this role, you must have a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field. We also require one year of experience in computer system administration. Experience in mainframe systems is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support and maintenance for IBM's mainframe systems.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues.
- Create system documentation and processes for the mainframe systems.
- Monitor system performance and ensure compliance with security standards.
- Research new technologies to stay up to date with the mainframe industry.
- Work closely with other IT professionals to ensure the smooth functioning of the system.
- Monitor system backups and ensure data integrity and security.
- Provide technical training and support for users.
- Assist in developing and implementing system policies and procedures.
- Ensure all system maintenance is performed in accordance with industry standards.
