Mainframe Systems Admin Intern

Responsibilities:

1. Assist experienced Mainframe Systems Administrators with the maintenance and troubleshooting of IBM's mainframe systems.
2. Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes.
3. Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely solutions.
4. Implement system security, backup, and recovery procedures.
5. Install and configure software and hardware components.
6. Research and recommend innovative solutions to improve the performance and reliability of the mainframe systems.
7. Develop and maintain documentation of system configurations and processes.
8. Assist in the evaluation and testing of new technologies and products.
9. Participate in team meetings to discuss new projects and initiatives.
10. Monitor system performance and ensure system availability according to established SLAs.
