  1. Learn and understand the fundamentals of mainframe computing and its role in the technology industry.
  2. Work closely with industry experts to gain hands-on experience in managing and maintaining critical mainframe systems.
  3. Take ownership of maintaining and troubleshooting mainframe systems to ensure their smooth functioning.
  4. Participate in training sessions and workshops to continuously update knowledge and skills in mainframe computing.
  5. Collaborate with the team to identify and resolve technical issues and improve system performance.
  6. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and advancements in mainframe technology.
  7. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to ensure efficient and effective operation of mainframe systems.
  8. Follow company policies and procedures to maintain the security and integrity of mainframe systems.

Job Qualifications

  • Strong Technical Skills: A Mainframe System Administrator Apprentice Should Possess A Strong Understanding Of Mainframe Systems And Their Components, As Well As Knowledge Of Programming Languages Such As Cobol, Jcl, And Assembler.

  • Problem-Solving Abilities: The Ability To Troubleshoot And Resolve Complex Technical Issues Is Essential For A Mainframe System Administrator Apprentice. They Should Have A Strong Analytical Mindset And Be Able To Think Critically To Identify And Resolve System Problems Efficiently.
