As a member of our Security Operations Center (SOC), you will play a crucial role in monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security events in real-time. - Monitor security alerts and events in real-time to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Analyze security data and logs to determine the severity and impact of security incidents.
- Respond to security incidents in a timely and effective manner, following established protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to investigate and resolve security incidents.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest security threats, trends, and best practices to continuously improve the security posture of our clients.
- Proactively identify and recommend improvements to security processes and procedures.
- Participate in security incident response exercises and drills to ensure readiness for real-world incidents.
- Maintain accurate documentation of security incidents, including actions taken and lessons learned.
- Communicate security incidents and their impacts to relevant stakeholders, including clients and management.
- Work closely with the security engineering team to implement and maintain security tools and technologies.
- Assist with security audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Provide support and guidance to junior team members and share knowledge with the wider team.
- Participate in an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 coverage for critical security incidents.
- Adhere to all security policies, procedures, and guidelines set by IBM and our clients.
- Continuously strive for personal and professional development in the field of cybersecurity.
Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In A Technical Support Or Security Operations Center (Soc) Role.
Strong Knowledge Of Network And System Security Principles, As Well As Experience With Security Tools And Technologies Such As Siem, Firewalls, Intrusion Detection Systems, Etc.
Excellent Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Identify And Respond To Security Threats In A Timely Manner.
Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Global Teams And Communicate Technical Information To Non-Technical Stakeholders.
