  1. Develop and maintain internal tools and systems for the CIO team using DevOps practices.
  2. Continuously improve and innovate our internal tools and systems to ensure a streamlined and efficient development process.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement solutions to improve our development process.
  4. Monitor and troubleshoot issues with our internal tools and systems, providing timely resolutions.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in DevOps and implement them into our processes.
  6. Train and mentor team members on DevOps practices and tools.
  7. Work closely with developers and other stakeholders to understand their needs and provide effective solutions.
  8. Develop and maintain documentation for our internal tools and systems.
  9. Participate in on-call rotations to support critical production systems.
  10. Proactively identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize our development process.
  11. Collaborate with other DevOps Engineers to share knowledge and best practices.
  12. Adhere to security and compliance standards in all aspects of the job.
  13. Work independently and as part of a team to complete projects within deadlines.
  14. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
  15. Actively contribute to the overall success of the CIO team and IBM as a whole.

Job Qualifications

  • Strong Understanding Of Devops Principles And Methodologies: A Devops Engineer For Cio Developer Tooling At Ibm Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Devops Principles And Practices, Including Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, And Automation.

  • Proficiency In Programming Languages And Scripting: The Role Requires Expertise In Programming Languages Like Java, Python, And Ruby, As Well As Experience With Scripting Languages Such As Bash, Powershell, And Perl.

  • Experience With Infrastructure Automation Tools: The Ideal Candidate Should Be Well-Versed In Infrastructure Automation Tools Like Ansible, Chef, And Puppet, And Have Experience Implementing And Managing Infrastructure As Code.

  • Knowledge Of Cloud Computing Platforms: With Ibm's Focus On Cloud Computing, A Devops Engineer For Cio Developer Tooling Should Have Experience Working With Cloud Platforms Like Aws, Azure, And Ibm Cloud, And Be Able To Architect And Deploy Applications On These Platforms.

  • Strong Problem-Solving And Troubleshooting Skills: In A Fast-Paced Environment Like Ibm, A Devops Engineer Should Possess Excellent Problem-Solving And Troubleshooting Skills To Quickly Identify And Resolve Issues In The Development And Deployment Processes.
