- Design and implement efficient and scalable DevOps processes and tools to support the development and delivery of high-quality products.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Identify and evaluate new technologies and tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our DevOps processes.
- Maintain and monitor the health and performance of the DevOps environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or roadblocks in the development and deployment processes.
- Automate manual processes to increase efficiency and reduce human error.
- Implement and maintain a continuous integration and continuous delivery pipeline.
- Work closely with the development team to ensure code quality and compatibility with the DevOps environment.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the development team on DevOps best practices.
- Stay updated with industry developments and trends in DevOps and make recommendations for improvement.
- Document and maintain standard operating procedures for the DevOps processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product releases.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices and guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with security and regulatory standards in all DevOps processes.
- Proactively identify and address any potential risks or issues in the DevOps environment.
- Provide regular reports and updates to management on the status and performance of the DevOps processes.
- Train and mentor junior team members on DevOps processes and tools.
Strong Coding And Scripting Skills: A Devops Developer/Engineer At Ibm Should Have Expertise In A Variety Of Programming Languages, Such As Python, Java, Ruby, Or Perl, And Be Able To Write Efficient And Maintainable Code.
Experience With Automation Tools And Frameworks: Ibm Looks For Candidates Who Have Experience With Popular Automation Tools And Frameworks Like Ansible, Puppet, Chef, Or Terraform. A Solid Understanding Of Infrastructure As Code (Iac) Principles Is Also Desirable.
Knowledge Of Cloud Computing: As Ibm Has A Strong Focus On Cloud Services, A Devops Developer/Engineer Should Have Experience Working With Cloud Platforms Such As Aws, Azure, Or Ibm Cloud. Knowledge Of Containerization Technologies Like Docker And Kubernetes Is Also A Plus.
Familiarity With Agile Methodologies: Ibm Follows An Agile Development Approach, So A Devops Developer/Engineer Should Be Familiar With Agile Principles And Practices, Such As Continuous Integration (Ci) And Continuous Delivery (Cd).
Excellent Problem-Solving Skills: Ibm Values Candidates Who Can Think Critically And Creatively To Troubleshoot Complex Technical Issues. A Devops Developer/Engineer Should Be Able To Analyze And Resolve Problems Quickly And Efficiently To Ensure Smooth Delivery Of Software And Services.
