- Develop and implement quality control procedures for commodities and materials used in IBM products and services.
- Collaborate with supply chain teams to establish quality standards for all purchased commodities and materials.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Identify and address any quality issues or non-conformities with suppliers and work towards resolution.
- Monitor and analyze quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and effective communication regarding quality requirements.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve any quality-related issues that may impact product delivery.
- Develop and maintain quality documentation, including specifications, procedures, and reports.
- Train and educate suppliers on quality standards and expectations.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality processes and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in quality management and supply chain practices.
- Collaborate with other members of the quality team to ensure consistency and alignment in quality processes across the organization.
- Manage and maintain quality certifications and accreditations for the commodities and materials used in IBM products and services.
- Communicate with internal stakeholders on quality-related matters and provide regular updates on quality performance.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of company-wide quality strategies and initiatives.
Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Or Quality Management.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In A Quality Management Role, Preferably Within The Commodities Industry.
Strong Knowledge Of Industry Standards, Regulations, And Quality Control Processes.
Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Manage Relationships With Suppliers.
Experience With Data Analysis And Quality Management Tools, Such As Six Sigma, Lean, Or Kaizen.
