  1. Manage and maintain AIX and Linux systems for IBM, ensuring their smooth operation and availability.
  2. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
  3. Install, configure, and upgrade AIX and Linux operating systems and related software.
  4. Collaborate with other team members to design and implement new technologies and solutions.
  5. Develop and maintain documentation for system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  6. Perform system backups and disaster recovery procedures.
  7. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in AIX and Linux systems administration.
  8. Work closely with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and compatibility with other systems.
  9. Proactively identify and address potential security vulnerabilities.
  10. Provide technical support and assistance to users and other team members.
  11. Participate in on-call rotation and respond to system emergencies.
  12. Continuously evaluate and improve system performance and processes.
  13. Train and mentor junior team members.
  14. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including security and compliance standards.
  15. Represent IBM in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience Working With Aix And Linux Operating Systems.

  • Strong Knowledge Of System Administration, Configuration, And Troubleshooting On Aix And Linux Platforms.

  • Experience With Virtualization Technologies Such As Vmware Or Kvm.

  • Familiarity With Scripting Languages Such As Bash, Perl, Or Python.
