Sr. Database Architect

Responsibilities:
- Design and implement database solutions that align with business objectives and support company growth.
- Conduct thorough analysis of database needs and requirements to develop efficient and effective solutions.
- Create and maintain data models, schemas, and dictionaries for various databases, ensuring data integrity and consistency.
- Optimize database performance by identifying and resolving bottlenecks and conducting regular maintenance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business processes and provide technical expertise for database-related issues.
- Stay updated on the latest database technologies and trends, and make recommendations for their implementation.
- Develop and maintain database standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency and reliability across all systems.
- Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures to ensure data availability and integrity.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior database administrators and developers.
- Develop and maintain documentation for all database-related processes and procedures.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate database security measures to ensure data confidentiality and compliance with industry regulations.
- Conduct regular performance testing and optimization to improve database efficiency.
- Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers for database-related projects and support.
- Participate in planning and budgeting for database-related projects and initiatives.
Extensive Experience In Database Architecture: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 8-10 Years Of Experience In Designing And Implementing Complex Database Systems, Preferably In A Financial Services Environment.
Strong Knowledge Of Database Technologies: The Candidate Should Have Thorough Knowledge Of Relational Database Management Systems (Rdbms) Such As Oracle, Sql Server, And Mysql, As Well As Nosql Databases Like Mongodb And Cassandra.
Proficiency In Database Design And Optimization: The Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Database Design Principles And Techniques, And Be Able To Optimize Database Performance For Large-Scale, High-Availability Systems.
Experience With Data Governance And Compliance: Hyundai Capital America Deals With Sensitive Financial Data And The Sr. Database Architect Should Have Experience In Implementing Data Governance Policies And Ensuring Compliance With Regulatory Requirements Such As Gdpr And Ccpa.
Leadership And Communication Skills: The Sr. Database Architect Will Be Leading A Team Of Database Developers And Administrators, And Should Have Excellent Leadership And Communication Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Stakeholders. They Should Also Possess Strong Problem-Solving Abilities And Be Able To Provide Technical Guidance And Mentorship To Junior Team Members.
