Maintenance - Painter

We are looking for an experienced and talented Maintenance - Painter to join our maintenance team at Hyatt. Our ideal candidate is skillful in painting and decorating, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety and excellence.The successful candidate will be responsible for completing a variety of painting tasks, including interior and exterior painting, drywall repair, and other tasks as needed. To be successful in this role, you must have excellent time management skills, be able to work independently, and be able to follow directions carefully.The ideal candidate will have:• At least two years of experience in a professional painting or construction environment• A strong knowledge of painting and decorating techniques• Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols• Ability to read and interpret blueprints• Excellent time management skills• Ability to work independently and as part of a team• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.• Ability to work at heightsIf you have a passion for painting and exceptional attention to detail, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities: • Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint, filling holes, or sealing cracks • Select appropriate paint or finish such as oil, latex, enamel, or stain, and mix it with thinner or reducer • Measure and cut trim to size, using a variety of carpentry tools • Apply paint to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces, using brushes, rollers, or spray guns • Hang wallpaper or fabric to walls • Clean up job sites, cleaning and returning painting tools and materials to their proper storage areas • Monitor the quality of work and make necessary adjustments to ensure the highest standards of workmanship • Follow safety regulations and protocols • Maintain records of supplies, materials, and activities • Create estimates for painting jobs and communicate them to customers
