In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our guests, employees, and property. Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests, employees, and property.
Monitor and control access to the hotel premises to prevent unauthorized entry.
Conduct regular patrols of the hotel to identify any potential security risks or breaches.
Respond quickly and effectively to any security incidents or emergencies, including medical emergencies, fires, and criminal activities.
Monitor surveillance cameras and other security systems to detect and prevent any security threats.
Report any security incidents or suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities.
Maintain accurate records of all security-related incidents and activities.
Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure a coordinated response to security-related issues.
Provide excellent customer service to guests by answering their questions and addressing their concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
Stay updated on the latest security protocols and procedures and implement them as necessary.
Conduct safety and security training for new employees to ensure they are aware of the proper procedures to follow in case of an emergency.
Assist with implementing and enforcing hotel policies and procedures related to security.
Conduct regular inspections of all hotel areas to ensure compliance with safety and security standards.
Handle lost and found items and follow proper procedures for their storage and return.
Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor at all times, representing the Hyatt brand and values.

Job Qualifications

Experience In Law Enforcement Or Security: A Hotel Security Officer At Hyatt Should Have Prior Experience Working In Law Enforcement Or Security, Preferably In A Hotel Setting. This Ensures They Have The Necessary Skills And Knowledge To Handle Potential Security Threats.
Strong Communication Skills: As A Hotel Security Officer, One Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Guests, Staff, And Law Enforcement Agencies In Case Of An Emergency. Good Communication Skills Are Also Essential For Writing Reports And Documenting Incidents.
Physical Fitness And Self-Defense Training: The Job Of A Hotel Security Officer Often Requires Long Hours Of Standing And Patrolling The Property. They Should Also Be Physically Fit And Have Received Training In Self-Defense Techniques To Handle Any Physical Confrontations.
Knowledge Of Emergency Procedures: A Hotel Security Officer Should Be Well-Versed In Emergency Procedures Such As Fire Safety, Evacuation Plans, And Medical Emergencies. They Should Also Be Able To Remain Calm And Make Quick Decisions In High-Stress Situations.
Attention To Detail And Problem-Solving Abilities: A Successful Hotel Security Officer Should Have A Keen Eye For Detail, Be Able To Identify Potential Security Risks, And Take Appropriate Action To Prevent Them. They Should Also Possess Strong Problem-Solving Skills To Handle Unexpected Situations Efficiently.
