Job Description

  1. Greet and welcome guests with a warm and friendly demeanor, setting the tone for their stay at the hotel.
  2. Provide excellent customer service by addressing guests’ inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  3. Handle guest check-in and check-out processes efficiently and accurately, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
  4. Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere for guests.
  5. Assist with reservations and room assignments, taking into consideration guests’ preferences and special requests.
  6. Act as a liaison between guests and other hotel departments, communicating any special requests or concerns to the appropriate team members.
  7. Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions accurately and efficiently, following hotel procedures and policies.
  8. Provide guests with information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions, and make recommendations based on their interests and needs.
  9. Handle phone calls and direct them to the appropriate team members or departments, providing a helpful and courteous response to all inquiries.
  10. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of hotel policies, procedures, and promotions to provide accurate information to guests.
  11. Handle any guest complaints or issues with empathy and professionalism, finding a satisfactory resolution and following up to ensure guest satisfaction.
  12. Collaborate with other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient front desk operation, assisting with tasks as needed.
  13. Maintain confidentiality of guest information and adhere to all safety and security procedures.
  14. Continuously strive to create a positive and welcoming atmosphere for guests, going above and beyond to exceed their expectations.
  15. Attend training and development sessions to continuously improve knowledge and skills related to the front desk operations and customer service.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Communication Skills: A Successful Front Desk Host At Hyatt Must Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Interact With Guests And Colleagues In A Professional And Friendly Manner.

  • Customer Service Experience: A Front Desk Host Should Have Previous Experience In A Customer-Facing Role, Preferably In The Hospitality Industry. They Should Be Able To Anticipate And Fulfill Guest Needs To Ensure A Positive Experience.

  • Attention To Detail: In A Fast-Paced Hotel Environment, A Front Desk Host Must Possess Strong Attention To Detail To Accurately Handle Guest Reservations, Room Assignments, And Billing Information.

  • Multitasking Abilities: Hyatt Front Desk Hosts Must Be Able To Handle Multiple Tasks Simultaneously, Such As Checking Guests In And Out, Answering Phone Calls, And Responding To Guest Inquiries.

  • Knowledge Of Hotel Operations: A Front Desk Host Should Have A Basic Understanding Of Hotel Operations, Including Reservation And Billing Systems, As Well As Knowledge Of Local Attractions And Amenities To Assist Guests With Their Needs.
