In this role, you will play a critical role in ensuring the resilience and continuity of our business operations.   1. Develop and maintain a comprehensive business resilience plan, ensuring that all departments and teams are well-prepared to handle potential crises and disruptions.
  2. Proactively identify and assess potential risks and vulnerabilities to our business operations and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement effective business continuity plans, ensuring they align with organizational goals and industry best practices.
  4. Conduct regular audits and reviews of the business resilience plan to identify areas for improvement and make necessary adjustments.
  5. Serve as a subject matter expert on crisis management, providing guidance and support to department heads and team members during times of crisis.
  6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with external partners and stakeholders, such as government agencies and emergency response teams, to facilitate effective crisis response and recovery.
  7. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to business resilience and proactively implement relevant changes and updates to our plan.
  8. Train and educate employees at all levels of the organization on business resilience and crisis management procedures and protocols.
  9. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of the business resilience plan, ensuring that all key performance indicators are met and maintained.
  10. Act as a liaison between the organization and relevant regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to business resilience.
  11. Lead and support business resilience exercises and simulations to test the effectiveness of the plan and identify areas for improvement.
  12. Continuously monitor and assess the impact of potential crises or disruptions on our business operations, providing timely recommendations and solutions to mitigate any negative effects.
  13. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including employees, management, and external partners, to ensure a coordinated and effective response to any business disruptions.
  14. Foster a culture of resilience and preparedness within the organization, promoting the importance of business continuity planning and proactive risk management.
  15. Represent the organization in external forums and events related to business resilience, sharing our best practices and contributing to industry discussions and initiatives.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Risk Management And Business Continuity Planning: The Director Of Business Resilience At Hyatt Should Have A Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience In Risk Management And Business Continuity Planning In The Hospitality Industry. They Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Implementing And Managing Crisis Response Plans.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: As A Director, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Business Resilience Professionals And Collaborating With Cross-Functional Teams. They Should Have Excellent Communication, Problem-Solving, And Decision-Making Skills To Effectively Lead And Guide Their Team During Times Of Crisis.

  • Knowledge Of Industry Regulations And Standards: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Industry Regulations And Standards Related To Emergency Preparedness, Crisis Management, And Business Continuity. This Includes Knowledge Of Osha, Nfpa, And Iso Standards, As Well As Experience With Audits And Compliance Assessments.

  • Crisis Management Training And Certifications: Candidates Should Possess Relevant Certifications Such As Certified Business Continuity Professional (Cbcp) Or Certified Emergency Manager (Cem). They Should Also Have Completed Training In Crisis Management, Emergency Response, And Incident Command Systems.

  • Business Acumen And Strategic Thinking: The Director Of Business Resilience Should Have A Strong Business Acumen And Be Able To Think Strategically To Identify Potential Risks And Develop Proactive Measures To Mitigate Them. They Should Also Have Experience In Developing And Managing Budgets, As Well As The Ability To Analyze Data And Make Data-Driven Decisions To Improve The Organization's Resilience.
