- Set up and maintain all audiovisual equipment throughout the hotel, including in guest rooms, conference rooms, and public spaces.
- Troubleshoot technical issues, including sound and video quality, connectivity, and compatibility.
- Assist guests and colleagues with using audiovisual equipment and troubleshoot any problems they may encounter.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest audiovisual technology and make recommendations for upgrades and improvements.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as events and IT, to ensure seamless execution of audiovisual services for meetings, events, and conferences.
- Manage and maintain inventory of all audiovisual equipment, ensuring proper functionality and organization.
- Train and educate colleagues on how to use audiovisual equipment and provide technical support when needed.
- Create and maintain standard operating procedures for audiovisual equipment usage and troubleshooting.
- Communicate with external vendors and contractors to schedule repairs and maintenance for audiovisual equipment.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment, following all safety protocols and procedures.
- Assist in budget planning and tracking for audiovisual equipment and services.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve and enhance the audiovisual experience for guests and colleagues.
- Provide exceptional customer service and uphold the company's commitment to creating exceptional experiences for guests.
Degree In Audio-Visual Technology Or Related Field: A Strong Understanding Of Audio-Visual Technology And Its Applications Is A Crucial Qualification For A Digital & Av Technician At Hyatt. A Degree In This Field Shows A Candidate's Dedication And Knowledge In The Area.
Experience With Various Av Equipment: Hyatt Hotels Often Have Different Types Of Audio-Visual Equipment, Including Projectors, Sound Systems, Microphones, And Video Conferencing Tools. A Digital & Av Technician Should Have Experience Working With A Variety Of Av Equipment To Troubleshoot Issues And Provide Technical Support.
Knowledge Of Networking And It Systems: In Today's Digital Age, Most Av Equipment Is Connected To A Network Or Integrated With Other It Systems. A Qualified Candidate For This Role Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Networking And It Systems To Ensure Proper Setup And Maintenance Of Av Equipment.
Ability To Work Flexible Hours: Hyatt Hotels Often Have Events And Conferences Outside Of Regular Business Hours, And A Digital & Av Technician Should Be Available To Work Flexible Hours To Provide Technical Support During These Events. This May Include Evenings, Weekends, And Holidays.
Strong Communication And Customer Service Skills: As A Digital & Av Technician At Hyatt, The Candidate Will Be Interacting With Guests And Colleagues On A Daily Basis. Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills Are Essential To Provide Technical Support And Troubleshoot Any Av Issues That May Arise.
