  1. Manage vendor relationships: The Senior Vendor Management Professional will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with vendors, including contract negotiations, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.
  2. Optimize vendor performance: This role will involve identifying opportunities for improving vendor performance, whether through negotiation, process improvements, or other means.
  3. Ensure quality service delivery: The Senior Vendor Management Professional will play a critical role in ensuring that vendors meet or exceed service level agreements and deliver high-quality services to Humana.
  4. Analyze data and trends: With a strong focus on data and analytics, this position will require the ability to analyze vendor performance data, identify trends, and make strategic recommendations.
  5. Communicate effectively: The successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with vendors, internal teams, and senior leadership to drive vendor management initiatives.
  6. Negotiate contracts: Working closely with legal and procurement teams, this role will involve negotiating vendor contracts to secure the best possible terms for Humana.
  7. Monitor vendor compliance: The Senior Vendor Management Professional will be responsible for monitoring vendor compliance with contractual agreements, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  8. Develop and maintain vendor scorecards: This position will involve creating and maintaining vendor scorecards to track performance, identify areas for improvement, and inform decision-making.
  9. Stay informed on industry trends: The Senior Vendor Management Professional will be expected to stay current on industry trends, best practices, and innovations in vendor management to drive continuous improvement.
  10. Mentor and train team members: As a senior member of the team, this role will involve mentoring and training other team members to ensure a high level of expertise in vendor management within the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Business, Supply Chain Management, Or A Related Field.

  • Strong Negotiation And Contract Management Skills.

  • Minimum Of 7 Years Experience In Vendor Management Or Procurement, Preferably In The Healthcare Industry.

  • Demonstrated Experience In Developing And Implementing Vendor Management Strategies.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Vendors And Internal Stakeholders.
