As a Referral Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in connecting our members with the appropriate healthcare services they need. You will work closely with our network providers, internal teams, and external partners to ensure a seamless and efficient referral process.   1. Coordinate and manage referrals between members, network providers, internal teams, and external partners.
  2. Ensure timely and accurate processing of referrals to facilitate efficient access to healthcare services for members.
  3. Maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail in managing and tracking referrals.
  4. Communicate effectively with members, providers, and internal teams to gather necessary information and provide updates on referral status.
  5. Collaborate with providers and internal teams to obtain necessary authorizations and ensure proper documentation for referrals.
  6. Act as a liaison between members and providers to resolve any issues or concerns with referrals.
  7. Monitor and track referral data to identify and address any potential issues or opportunities for improvement.
  8. Maintain confidentiality of member information and adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
  9. Provide excellent customer service to members and ensure a positive experience throughout the referral process.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends and changes in referral processes to effectively perform job duties.
  11. Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills related to referral coordination.
  12. Adhere to all company policies and procedures while performing job duties.
  13. Demonstrate a compassionate and empathetic approach when working with members and their healthcare needs.
  14. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing Humana.
  15. Continuously strive to improve and streamline the referral process to enhance member satisfaction and overall efficiency.
