  2. Ensure Quality Care for Members: Work diligently to ensure that Humana members receive the appropriate care they deserve by appealing denied claims and advocating for necessary treatments.
  3. Utilize Clinical Expertise: Utilize knowledge and experience as a Physical Therapist to accurately assess and review denied claims, ensuring that all appeals are supported by relevant clinical evidence.
  4. Communicate Effectively: Utilize excellent communication skills to effectively communicate with internal teams, insurance providers, and healthcare providers to gather necessary information and resolve issues related to denied claims.
  5. Maintain Organizational Standards: Maintain organization and attention to detail when reviewing and managing denied claims and appeals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Physical Therapy Or Related Field

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Medical Billing And Coding, Specifically In Denials Management

  • Knowledge Of Insurance Industry And Reimbursement Policies, Specifically Related To Physical Therapy Services

  • Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology And Coding Systems (Icd-10, Cpt, Hcpcs)

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With Ability To Effectively Negotiate With Insurance Companies And Appeal Denied Claims.
