- Dispensing Medications: Accurately and efficiently dispense medications to Humana members in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain appropriate levels of medication inventory, including ordering, receiving, and restocking medications as needed.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to Humana members by addressing their medication-related inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Medication Safety: Follow proper safety protocols to ensure the safe handling and storage of medications and comply with all safety regulations.
- Collaborate with Healthcare Team: Work closely with pharmacists and other members of the healthcare team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of medications to members.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of medication dispensing and inventory management.
- Adhere to Privacy Regulations: Ensure compliance with all patient privacy regulations and maintain confidentiality of member information.
- Quality Control: Perform quality control checks on medication orders to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and development programs to stay current with industry developments and maintain required certifications.
- Process Improvement: Continuously review and suggest ways to improve current processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaborate with Insurance Providers: Work closely with insurance providers to verify coverage and process claims.
- Adhere to Company Policies: Follow all company policies and procedures related to medication management and customer service.
- Maintain Professionalism: Demonstrate a professional and courteous demeanor at all times when interacting with members, healthcare professionals, and coworkers.
- Ad Hoc Tasks: Perform any other duties assigned by management to ensure efficient pharmacy operations and customer satisfaction.
Completion Of A Pharmacy Technician Training Program Or Equivalent Certification.
Active Pharmacy Technician License In The State Where The Job Is Located.
Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience Working As A Pharmacy Technician In A Retail Or Hospital Setting.
Familiarity With Pharmacy Software And Electronic Medical Records Systems.
Excellent Communication And Customer Service Skills To Effectively Interact With Patients, Pharmacists, And Healthcare Providers.
