Job Qualifications
  • Completion Of An Accredited Medical Assistant Program: Candidates Should Have Completed An Accredited Program In Medical Assisting, Which Typically Includes Coursework In Medical Terminology, Anatomy And Physiology, And Clinical Procedures.

  • Certified Medical Assistant (Cma) Credential: Humana May Require Candidates To Have A Current Certification As A Cma From A Recognized Certifying Agency, Such As The American Association Of Medical Assistants (Aama) Or The American Medical Technologists (Amt).

  • Experience In A Clinical Setting: Candidates Should Have At Least 1-2 Years Of Experience Working As A Medical Assistant In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Primary Care Or Specialty Care Office.

  • Knowledge Of Electronic Medical Records (Emr) Systems: Humana May Prefer Candidates Who Have Experience Using Emr Systems, Such As Epic Or Cerner, For Managing Patient Records And Scheduling Appointments.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Medical Assistant, Candidates Will Be Working Closely With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Therefore, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Creating A Positive And Efficient Work Environment.
