Current Rn License In Good Standing: A Care Coordinator At Humana Must Possess A Valid And Active Rn License In The State Where They Will Be Working. This Ensures That The Individual Has Met The Necessary Educational And Professional Requirements To Practice Nursing.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing (Bsn) Or Equivalent Experience: Humana Prefers Candidates With A Bsn, As It Demonstrates A Higher Level Of Education And Training. However, Candidates With An Associate's Degree In Nursing And Significant Experience May Also Be Considered.
Minimum Of 2 Years Clinical Experience: As A Care Coordinator, The Individual Will Be Responsible For Coordinating Care For Patients With Complex Needs. Therefore, A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Experience Is Required To Ensure The Candidate Has A Strong Understanding Of Patient Care And The Healthcare System.
Previous Experience In Care Coordination Or Case Management: Humana Values Candidates Who Have Prior Experience In Care Coordination Or Case Management. This Shows That The Individual Has Experience In Coordinating Care For Patients, Managing Complex Cases, And Working With Multidisciplinary Teams.
Strong Communication And Organizational Skills: A Care Coordinator Must Possess Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills To Effectively Coordinate Care For Patients. They Must Be Able To Communicate With Patients, Providers, And Other Healthcare Professionals, And Also Keep Track Of Multiple Tasks And Deadlines.
