Job Description

  1. Provide compassionate and dedicated care to patients during medical appointments.
  2. Utilize fluency in English and Spanish to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations.
  3. Work closely with healthcare providers to deliver high-quality care and ensure patient satisfaction.
  4. Assist with patient intake, including obtaining vital signs, medical history, and updating electronic health records.
  5. Perform basic medical procedures, such as administering injections, collecting and processing specimens, and conducting EKGs.
  6. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure patient safety and infection control.
  7. Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care, including scheduling follow-up appointments and referrals.
  8. Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans, medications, and preventative care.
  9. Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  10. Demonstrate professionalism and excellent customer service skills when interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
  11. Continuously strive to improve patient care and enhance the patient experience.
  12. Attend mandatory trainings and meetings to stay updated on medical procedures, policies, and protocols.
  13. Perform other duties as assigned by the healthcare team.

Job Qualifications
  • Fluency In Both English And Spanish: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Possess Strong Verbal And Written Skills In Both English And Spanish, As They Will Be Working With A Diverse Patient Population.

  • Certified Medical Assistant (Cma) Or Registered Medical Assistant (Rma) Certification: Candidates Should Have A Valid Cma Or Rma Certification, Demonstrating Their Knowledge And Skills In Medical Assisting.

  • Prior Experience In A Medical Setting: Previous Experience Working As A Medical Assistant In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Bilingual Environment, Is Highly Desirable.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology: A Strong Understanding Of Medical Terminology In Both English And Spanish Is Essential For Accurately Communicating With Patients And Healthcare Professionals.

  • Cultural Competency: The Ability To Understand And Respect Cultural Differences And Effectively Communicate With Patients From Diverse Backgrounds Is A Crucial Qualification For This Role.
