Job Description

As a Forging Operator, you will play a vital role in our manufacturing process, using your technical expertise and attention to detail to forge metal parts that meet our exacting standards.   1. Operate forging equipment and machinery according to company procedures and safety guidelines.
  2. Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate production of parts.
  3. Set up and adjust machines and tools to meet specific product requirements.
  4. Monitor and maintain proper temperature, pressure, and other parameters during the forging process.
  5. Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
  6. Troubleshoot and resolve issues with equipment or production process.
  7. Follow established procedures for material handling, storage, and inventory management.
  8. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient and timely production.
  9. Keep accurate production records and report any issues or discrepancies to management.
  10. Maintain a clean and organized work area, following company 5S standards.
  11. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols.
  12. Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions as directed by management.
  13. Train and mentor new team members as needed.
  14. Participate in regular team meetings and provide input and suggestions for improving production processes.
  15. Follow all safety regulations and wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times.
  16. Communicate effectively with coworkers and supervisors to ensure a smooth and efficient production process.
  17. Meet production targets and deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
  18. Attend training and development programs to improve skills and knowledge.
  19. Follow all company guidelines for waste reduction, recycling, and sustainability.
  20. Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.

  • Knowledge And Experience With Forging Machinery: A Forging Operator Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of The Operation And Maintenance Of Various Forging Machinery, Such As Forging Presses, Hammers, And Manipulators. They Should Also Have Experience With Setting Up And Adjusting These Machines For Different Forging Processes.

  • Ability To Read And Interpret Blueprints: As A Forging Operator, It Is Essential To Be Able To Read And Interpret Engineering Drawings And Blueprints. This Skill Is Necessary To Understand The Specifications And Tolerances For The Forged Parts And To Ensure That The Final Product Meets The Required Dimensions.

  • Understanding Of Metallurgy And Heat Treatment: Forging Involves Heating And Shaping Metal, Which Requires A Basic Understanding Of Metallurgy And Heat Treatment Processes. A Forging Operator Should Be Familiar With Different Types Of Metals And Their Properties To Ensure The Correct Heating And Cooling Processes Are Applied To Achieve The Desired Strength And Durability Of The Forged Parts.

  • Attention To Detail And Quality Control: Precision And Accuracy Are Critical In The Forging Process, And A Forging Operator Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail. They Should Be Able To Inspect The Forged Parts Visually And Using Measuring Tools To Ensure They Meet The Required Specifications And Quality Standards.

  • Physical Stamina And Dexterity: Forging Is A Physically Demanding Job That Requires Standing For Long Periods, Lifting Heavy Materials, And Performing Repetitive Tasks. A Forging Operator Should Have Good Physical Stamina And Dexterity To Handle The Physical Demands Of The Job And Maintain A High Level Of Productivity.
