Job Description

At Hubbell Incorporated, we are seeking a highly organized and experienced Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join our team. This position is ideal for an individual who is passionate about environmental safety and committed to promoting a healthy and safe workplace. The successful candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of environmental safety and health regulations and be able to develop, review, and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance.The Environmental Health and Safety Specialist will be a key member of the Hubbell Incorporated team, providing support and advice to employees and management on all aspects of safety. The ideal candidate will have the skills required to audit and inspect the site and equipment to ensure safety and health regulations are followed. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, be able to work collaboratively with a team, and possess a strong attention to detail.To be successful in this role, the candidate must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in environmental health and safety, a Bachelor's degree in safety or a related field, and be certified in hazardous materials management.If you have the necessary qualifications and are looking for an opportunity to make a positive impact on the safety of our workplace, we invite you to apply for this position.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, review, and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with environmental safety and health regulations.
  2. Audit and inspect the site and equipment to ensure safety and health regulations are followed.
  3. Provide support and advice to employees and management on all aspects of safety.
  4. Conduct hazardous materials management.
  5. Establish relationships with stakeholders to ensure safety and health requirements are met.
  6. Monitor safety-related activities and ensure they are in compliance with regulations.
  7. Investigate and report on safety incidents and injuries.
  8. Maintain accurate safety records and documentation.
  9. Identify safety risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  10. Provide training and education to employees on safety and health topics.
