
Environmental Health and Safety Specialist

We are currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist to join our team.In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, managing, and monitoring our company’s EHS programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. You will also provide guidance, training, and certification to our employees regarding safety and environmental regulations.We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Health and Safety or a related field, plus at least 3-5 years of experience in a similar role. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to think critically and solve complex problems. You must also possess a thorough understanding of safety and environmental regulations and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.If you have a passion for protecting the environment and safeguarding the safety of our employees, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, manage, and monitor EHS programs, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Provide guidance, training, and certification to employees regarding safety and environmental regulations.
- Investigate and report on any potential environmental or safety hazards.
- Monitor compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of safety and environmental training, inspections, and other activities.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans.
- Stay current on federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure operational safety and environmental compliance.
- Address any employee concerns or questions related to safety and environmental regulations.
- Supervise safety and environmental personnel.
