We are seeking a dynamic and driven Director of Government Relations to join our team and lead our government relations efforts. In this role, you will have the opportunity to shape and execute our government relations strategy, build relationships with key stakeholders, and advocate for our company's interests at the local, state, and federal levels.   1. Develop and implement a comprehensive government relations strategy that aligns with the overall business objectives of Hubbell Incorporated.
  2. Build and maintain strong relationships with key government officials, agencies, and stakeholders at the local, state, and federal levels.
  3. Monitor and analyze legislation and regulations that may impact the company's operations and develop proactive strategies to address them.
  4. Represent the company's interests in government meetings, hearings, and other forums.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams to identify and prioritize government relations issues and develop effective messaging and communication strategies.
  6. Manage and oversee government relations budgets and resources.
  7. Stay up-to-date on political and policy developments that may affect the company and provide timely updates and recommendations to senior leadership.
  8. Work closely with external lobbyists and advocacy groups to advance the company's agenda.
  9. Build and maintain a positive image and reputation for the company among government officials and stakeholders.
  10. Act as a liaison between the company and government agencies, responding to inquiries and requests for information.
  11. Develop and maintain a network of contacts and relationships within the government and political community.
  12. Collaborate with other departments, such as legal and compliance, to ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  13. Provide guidance and support to other team members on government relations matters.
  14. Continuously assess and improve the company's government relations strategies and tactics to achieve desired outcomes.
  15. Represent the company at industry events and conferences related to government relations.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Political Science, Public Policy, Or A Related Field

  • Minimum Of 7 Years Experience In Government Relations, Preferably In A Corporate Setting

  • Strong Understanding Of Government Processes And Regulatory Environments At The Local, State, And Federal Levels

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Relationships With Government Officials And Stakeholders

  • Demonstrated Experience In Developing And Executing Successful Government Relations Strategies And Initiatives.
