Job Description

As the Vice President of Credit Risk Management at HSBC, you will play a critical role in managing the credit risk of the bank’s lending portfolio. As a senior leader, you will bring a unique blend of expertise, experience, and enthusiasm to this role. You will be responsible for developing strategies to identify, monitor, and mitigate credit risk, while ensuring that the bank’s risk appetite is met.To be successful in this role, you must have a minimum of ten years of experience in credit risk management, with a focus on commercial, retail, and consumer lending. You will have a deep understanding of credit risk management principles and regulations in the banking industry, and have a strong track record of developing and implementing successful policies and procedures. Additionally, you will have excellent communication and collaboration skills, and be able to work with stakeholders across all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the team in developing and executing strategies to identify, monitor, and mitigate credit risk.
  2. Develop and implement policies and procedures for managing credit risk in the banking industry.
  3. Monitor the bank’s risk appetite to ensure it is met.
  4. Maintain an up-to-date understanding of credit risk management principles and regulations in the banking industry.
  5. Establish effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  6. Provide guidance and support to the team to ensure successful credit risk management.
  7. Analyze and assess the potential risks of the bank’s lending portfolio.
  8. Monitor and report on the performance and effectiveness of credit risk processes.
  9. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  10. Identify and manage areas of potential risk.
