In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies in the global debt markets business.   1. Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures for the Global Debt Markets division of HSBC.
  2. Monitor and assess regulatory requirements and changes in the global debt markets landscape, and ensure the division is in compliance.
  3. Provide guidance and advice to the division on compliance matters, including regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  4. Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure adherence to compliance policies and procedures.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address any compliance issues or gaps.
  6. Serve as the main point of contact for regulatory bodies and ensure timely and accurate responses to inquiries or requests.
  7. Lead and manage compliance training programs for employees in the Global Debt Markets division.
  8. Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and trends related to compliance in the financial industry.
  9. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders across the organization.
  10. Proactively identify potential compliance risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  11. Prepare and present compliance reports to senior management and regulatory bodies.
  12. Foster a culture of compliance and ethics within the Global Debt Markets division.
  13. Keep track of all compliance-related documentation and ensure records are maintained in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  14. Assist with any internal or external audits related to compliance.
  15. Continuously review and improve compliance processes and procedures to maintain a high level of effectiveness and efficiency.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Knowledge Of Global Debt Markets: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Global Debt Markets, Including Key Players, Products, And Regulations. This Knowledge Should Extend To Both Developed And Emerging Markets.

  • Strong Compliance Background: The Vice President Should Have A Strong Background In Compliance, With A Focus On Debt Markets. This Includes Experience In Developing And Implementing Compliance Policies And Procedures, As Well As Conducting Compliance Risk Assessments.

  • Proven Track Record In Advisory Compliance: The Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record In The Advisory Compliance Space, Preferably With Experience At A Top Financial Institution. This Includes Experience In Providing Compliance Advice And Guidance To Front Office Teams.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Senior Member Of The Compliance Team, The Vice President Will Be Required To Effectively Communicate Complex Compliance Issues To Various Stakeholders, Including Senior Management And Front Office Teams. Strong Interpersonal Skills Are Also Necessary For Building Relationships And Collaborating With Colleagues Across Different Regions.

  • Ability To Manage A Team: The Vice President Will Be Responsible For Managing A Team Of Compliance Professionals, Including Providing Guidance, Training, And Performance Management. Therefore, The Ideal Candidate Should Have Previous Experience In Managing A Team And Developing Talent.
