  1. Manage and maintain the Veritas NetBackup software and associated systems, ensuring their smooth operation and optimal performance.
  2. Monitor and troubleshoot any issues or errors related to the data backup and recovery systems, providing timely and effective resolution.
  3. Collaborate with other team members and departments to identify and implement improvements to the data backup and recovery processes.
  4. Conduct regular audits and tests to ensure the security and integrity of critical information stored in the Veritas NetBackup system.
  5. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments and updates in Veritas NetBackup technology and recommend upgrades or enhancements as needed.
  6. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients and employees, to understand their needs and provide technical support and guidance.
  7. Develop and maintain documentation, including procedures, policies, and guidelines, related to the Veritas NetBackup system.
  8. Train and mentor junior team members on Veritas NetBackup software and best practices.
  9. Collaborate with vendors and external consultants to resolve complex technical issues and implement new features.
  10. Adhere to all security protocols and regulations to ensure the confidentiality and privacy of sensitive information.
  11. Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing to ensure business continuity in the event of a system failure.
  12. Proactively identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in the Veritas NetBackup system and implement measures to mitigate them.
  13. Continuously monitor and analyze system performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize resource utilization.
  14. Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to implement data backup and recovery solutions for new projects and initiatives.
  15. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data backup and recovery systems and make recommendations for their implementation as appropriate.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Administering And Managing Veritas Netbackup Solutions.

  • Strong Understanding Of Enterprise Backup And Recovery Methodologies.

  • Expertise In Designing And Implementing Backup Strategies For Large-Scale Data Centers.

  • Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced And Dynamic Environment.
