- Identify and assess potential threats to HSBC's assets and operations.
- Develop and implement effective controls to mitigate identified threats.
- Monitor and analyze existing controls to ensure their effectiveness and make necessary improvements.
- Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for risk mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address potential vulnerabilities across the organization.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in risk management and incorporate them into HSBC's risk management framework.
- Communicate and report on potential threats and control measures to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to promote a culture of risk awareness.
- Train and educate employees on risk management policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Lead investigations into any security breaches or incidents and provide recommendations for resolution and prevention.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Proactively identify potential risks and provide recommendations for risk mitigation strategies.
- Develop and maintain risk management policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Provide support and guidance to other team members on risk management-related matters.
- Participate in the development and implementation of new risk management initiatives and projects.
Extensive Knowledge Of Cybersecurity Threats And Controls: A Successful Candidate For This Role Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Various Cyber Threats, Including Malware, Social Engineering, And Insider Threats. They Should Also Be Well-Versed In The Latest Security Controls And Best Practices For Mitigating These Threats.
Experience In Risk Assessment And Mitigation: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Conducting Risk Assessments And Developing Effective Mitigation Strategies. This Includes Identifying Vulnerabilities, Assessing Potential Impact, And Implementing Controls To Reduce Risk.
Familiarity With Industry Regulations And Compliance Standards: Hsbc Is A Global Financial Institution That Is Subject To Various Regulations And Compliance Standards, Such As Gdpr, Pci Dss, And Iso 27001. A Qualified Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of These Regulations And Their Impact On The Organization's Security Posture.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: As A Threat And Controls Consultant Specialist, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Identifying And Analyzing Potential Threats And Vulnerabilities.
