  1. Provide production support for GCP and other cloud services used by HSBC.
  2. Monitor and maintain the smooth operation of production systems.
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise.
  4. Work closely with the development team to understand and resolve any issues related to software deployment and production.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features and enhancements in the production environment.
  6. Develop and maintain documentation for production processes and procedures.
  7. Identify areas for improvement and propose solutions to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
  8. Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in cloud services and suggest ways to incorporate them into production systems.
  9. Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for production systems.
  10. Mentor and train junior team members on production support processes and procedures.
  11. Ensure compliance with HSBC's security and data protection policies.
  12. Communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders about production issues and resolutions.
  13. Adhere to established service level agreements and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  14. Proactively identify potential risks and take necessary measures to mitigate them.
  15. Work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.

Job Qualifications

  • Strong Experience With Google Cloud Platform (Gcp): A Qualified Production Support For Gcp/Senior Software Engineer Should Have Extensive Experience Working With Gcp, Including Its Various Services Such As Compute Engine, App Engine, And Bigquery. They Should Also Have A Deep Understanding Of Gcp's Security And Networking Capabilities.

  • Proficiency In Programming Languages: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess Strong Programming Skills In Languages Such As Java, Python, Or Go. They Should Be Able To Write Efficient And High-Quality Code To Support And Enhance Existing Applications On Gcp.

  • Experience With Devops And Automation: As A Production Support For Gcp/Senior Software Engineer At Hsbc, The Candidate Should Have A Solid Understanding Of Devops Principles And Experience With Automation Tools Such As Ansible, Chef, Or Puppet. They Should Also Be Familiar With Ci/Cd Pipelines And Version Control Systems Like Git.

  • Knowledge Of Software Development Methodologies: The Candidate Should Have Experience Working In An Agile Environment And Be Familiar With Methodologies Such As Scrum Or Kanban. They Should Also Have A Strong Understanding Of Software Development Best Practices And Be Able To Apply Them In Their Work.
