  1. Develop and implement media strategies to enhance HSBC's reputation and promote our brand globally.
  2. Build and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and influencers.
  3. Proactively identify and respond to media opportunities and potential crisis situations.
  4. Create and distribute compelling and timely press releases, media kits, and other media materials.
  5. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure consistent and accurate messaging across all media channels.
  6. Monitor media coverage and report on key metrics and insights to senior management.
  7. Manage and mentor a team of media relations professionals, providing guidance, feedback, and professional development opportunities.
  8. Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments to inform media strategies.
  9. Coordinate media events, press conferences, and media interviews for key executives.
  10. Serve as a spokesperson for HSBC, providing clear and concise messaging on complex financial topics.
  11. Develop crisis communication plans and lead crisis management efforts in partnership with other departments.
  12. Collaborate with marketing and branding teams to ensure consistency in messaging and visuals across all media channels.
  13. Continually evaluate and improve media relations strategies and tactics to achieve business objectives.
  14. Represent HSBC at industry events, conferences, and speaking engagements to build relationships and promote our brand.
  15. Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies in all media interactions.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Media Relations: A Successful Candidate For The Head Of Media Relations Role At Hsbc Should Have A Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience In Media Relations, Preferably In The Financial Services Industry.

  • Strong Communication Skills: As The Primary Spokesperson For Hsbc, The Head Of Media Relations Must Have Excellent Written And Verbal Communication Skills, Including The Ability To Communicate Complex Financial Information In A Clear And Concise Manner.
