  1. Develop and implement asset and liability management strategies to optimize risk and drive long-term profitability for HSBC.
  2. Lead a global team and provide strategic direction for asset and liability management activities.
  3. Analyze and monitor financial market trends and risks, and make recommendations for appropriate risk management strategies.
  4. Manage a complex and diverse portfolio of assets and liabilities, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives and risk appetite.
  5. Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to develop and execute financial plans and strategies that support business growth and mitigate risk.
  6. Identify and assess potential risks to the bank's balance sheet and provide proactive solutions to effectively manage and mitigate them.
  7. Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to asset and liability management, and make adjustments as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
  8. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to asset and liability management, and ensure compliance with all relevant guidelines.
  9. Foster a culture of risk awareness and accountability within the organization by providing training and guidance to team members and other stakeholders.
  10. Represent HSBC in external forums and engage with industry peers to share insights and best practices in asset and liability management.
  11. Drive continuous improvement and innovation in asset and liability management processes and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  12. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, regulators, and external auditors.
  13. Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial reports and presentations related to asset and liability management for senior management and board meetings.
  14. Act as a role model for the organization, promoting HSBC's values and culture of ethics and integrity.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Finance, Economics, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 8 Years Of Experience In Asset And Liability Management, Preferably In A Banking Or Financial Institution.

  • Strong Understanding Of Financial Markets, Interest Rate Risk, And Liquidity Management.

  • Proven Track Record Of Designing And Implementing Effective Alm Strategies.

  • Excellent Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Lead A Team And Collaborate With Other Departments And Stakeholders.
