  1. Monitor and analyze data loss prevention alerts and incidents to identify potential security risks.
  2. Conduct regular audits of data usage and access to identify any potential vulnerabilities.
  3. Collaborate with IT and security teams to implement and maintain data protection policies and procedures.
  4. Provide recommendations and implement solutions to mitigate data security threats.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in data loss prevention and security.
  6. Conduct regular risk assessments and make recommendations for improvements to data protection measures.
  7. Investigate and resolve any data breaches or incidents, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  8. Train and educate employees on data protection policies and procedures.
  9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  10. Develop and maintain documentation of data protection processes and procedures.
  11. Participate in incident response planning and execution.
  12. Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of data protection measures and make necessary adjustments.
  13. Stay informed of any emerging threats or vulnerabilities and proactively implement solutions to mitigate them.
  14. Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including senior management, on data protection issues and recommendations.
  15. Contribute to the overall security strategy of the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • Understanding Of Data Protection Regulations: A Dlp Analyst At Hsbc Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Local And International Laws And Regulations Related To Data Protection, Such As Gdpr, Ccpa, And Pci Dss.

  • Technical Proficiency: The Role Of A Dlp Analyst Requires Technical Proficiency In Managing And Configuring Dlp Tools And Technologies Such As Symantec Dlp, Mcafee Dlp, And Forcepoint Dlp. Candidates Should Also Have Experience With Data Encryption, Data Masking, And Data Classification Techniques.

  • Analytical Skills: The Primary Responsibility Of A Dlp Analyst Is To Analyze Data Protection Risks And Incidents. Therefore, Candidates Should Have Strong Analytical Skills To Identify Patterns And Trends In Data Usage And Potential Vulnerabilities.

  • Communication Skills: A Dlp Analyst Must Communicate Effectively With Various Stakeholders, Including It Teams, Business Units, And Senior Management. Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills Are Essential To Convey Technical Information To Non-Technical Audiences.
