Houston Methodist is seeking an energetic and organized Sterile Processing Coordinator to join our team. This critical role is responsible for ensuring efficient and safe sterile processing operations throughout the institution. The Sterile Processing Coordinator will lead the team in the cleaning, sterilizing, and distributing of surgical instruments and equipment.The successful candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician in a healthcare setting and knowledge of the principles and techniques of sterile processing. They must have superior communication and organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. Responsibilities:

  1. Organize daily operations of the sterile processing department
  2. Ensure all instruments and equipment are cleaned, sterilized, and distributed according to established protocols
  3. Train and supervise sterile processing staff
  4. Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations
  5. Maintain accurate inventory of sterile processing supplies
  6. Collaborate with other departments regarding sterile processing procedures
  7. Monitor performance of staff and provide feedback
  8. Ensure all patient care is confidential
  9. Troubleshoot any issues with sterile processing equipment
  10. Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives for the sterile processing department

Job Qualifications
