Staff Pharmacist

The Houston Methodist seeks an experienced and dedicated Staff Pharmacist to join our world-renowned healthcare team. In this role, you will provide skilled and compassionate care to a wide variety of patients in an environment of excellence and professionalism. We are looking for a self-motivated professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality pharmacy services.To be considered for this role, you must possess a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy, be currently licensed as a pharmacist by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy, and have at least two years of experience in retail, hospital, or clinical pharmacy. A positive attitude and strong customer service skills are essential. Previous experience in an academic medical center and/or health system is preferred.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide skilled and compassionate care to a wide variety of patients.
2. Maintain current licensure as a pharmacist by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
3. Administer medication and advise patients on their medication usage.
4. Monitor drug interactions and provide drug information to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers.
5. Compound and dispense medications as prescribed by a physician.
6. Ensure medication safety and accuracy when dispensing medications.
7. Maintain proper records for all medications dispensed.
8. Participate in continuing education programs to stay up-to-date on the latest advances in pharmacy.
9. Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor with patients and other healthcare providers.
10. Provide excellent customer service to patients.
