Sr Sterile Processing Technician

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at Houston Methodist! The ideal candidate for this role will have more than five years of experience in a sterile processing role, and will be ready to take on the responsibility of leading our Sterile Processing Department. Our Senior Sterile Processing Technician will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment and supplies are sterile and in compliance with all applicable regulations. This position requires a professional, detail-oriented individual with excellent communication and organizational skills. Responsibilities of a Senior Sterile Processing Technician:

• Lead the Sterile Processing Department by training and supervising personnel and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
• Inspect, clean, and maintain equipment according to established standards.
• Monitor the sterilization process, including temperature, pressure, and time.
• Ensure that all materials used in the sterilization process are sterile and safe for patient use.
• Prepare and package sterile items for use in operating rooms and patient care areas.
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and inventory.
• Monitor and restock supplies as needed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any equipment or supply issues.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all safety protocols and adhere to company policies and procedures.
