Sr Physical Therapist - Inpatient

We are looking for an experienced, compassionate Senior Physical Therapist to join our team at Houston Methodist Inpatient. As a Senior Physical Therapist you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our patients with physical impairments. You will work with patients to develop individualized care plans, assess their condition, and create treatment plans that will help them achieve their physical goals.The ideal candidate for this position must have a Doctorate in Physical Therapy or a Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a physical therapy setting. The successful candidate will be able to effectively communicate with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals. In addition, they should possess excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, and experience in inpatient care.

Responsibilities:

1. Evaluate patients with physical impairments to develop individualized care plans
2. Monitor progress of patients and adjust treatment plans as necessary
3. Educate patients and families on physical therapy treatments and exercises
4. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care
5. Document patient care and progress in medical records
6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of physical therapy treatments and best practices
7. Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations
8. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
9. Provide support to other physical therapists as needed
10. Ensure the safety and well-being of patients during physical therapy sessions
