Senior Outpatient Coder

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Outpatient Coder to join the Houston Methodist team. This individual should possess the necessary skills to review medical records and assign accurate codes for diagnoses, procedures, and other services in accordance with coding guidelines. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have a strong eye for detail.The successful applicant will have a minimum of 5 years of coding experience in an outpatient setting and must be certified by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) or American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA). They will need to demonstrate excellent problem-solving and communication skills, as well as a comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. A commitment to providing exceptional customer service and an understanding of the importance of confidentiality is also essential.
