Senior Medical Assistant- Ob/Gyn

We are looking for an experienced and professional Senior Medical Assistant- Ob/Gyn to join the team at Houston Methodist. This position requires a person with an exceptional attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and within a team setting. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in an Ob/Gyn setting, as well as a current Medical Assistant certification. Responsibilities:

1. Assist physicians in providing patient care, including pre-visit workups, patient interviews, exams, and procedures.
2. Prepare patient Medical Records, including histories and physicals.
3. Accurately document patient visits, procedures, and other health-related data.
4. Monitor and update patient medical records and other data.
5. Administer medications and vaccinations, as instructed by the physician.
6. Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
7. Schedule patient appointments and maintain patient schedules.
8. Assist in the maintenance of medical equipment and supplies.
9. Follow all safety protocols and infection control procedures.
10. Participate in departmental meetings and initiatives.
