Job Description

Houston Methodist is seeking an experienced Safety Analyst to join our Houston Methodist family. In this role, you will serve as an advocate for patient and employee safety, while working to foster a culture of safety and compliance throughout the organization. The ideal candidate will have an understanding of safety standards and regulations, as well as a commitment to providing the highest quality of care to our patients and staff.We are looking for an individual who is strong in communication and problem-solving skills, is detail-oriented and highly organized, and is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of our patients and staff. The successful candidate will also possess the following qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Safety Science, Occupational Safety and Health, or a closely related field• Demonstrated knowledge of safety principles, practices, and standards• Knowledge of state and federal safety regulations• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Ability to recognize and resolve safety hazards• Proven ability to work well both independently and as part of a teamIf you are passionate about patient and staff safety and are looking for an opportunity to make a difference, we invite you to join the Houston Methodist family as our Safety Analyst.

Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and enforce safety standards and regulations in compliance with state and federal safety regulations.
  2. Investigate safety hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risk.
  3. Develop and implement safety programs and policies.
  4. Provide safety training and education to staff.
  5. Manage and monitor safety compliance programs.
  6. Monitor and analyze safety data to identify trends and areas of improvement.
  7. Work with senior leadership to ensure safety goals are met.
  8. Create and maintain safety records and reports.
  9. Participate in safety committee meetings.
  10. Maintain and update safety training materials.
