Research Integrity/COI Analyst

In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the compliance of research activities to applicable laws, regulations, and Houston Methodist policies.The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong ethical and professional background in compliance and research as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Candidates must possess a strong understanding of the rules and regulations that govern research activities, including financial disclosure requirements for faculty, staff and students. Additionally, the successful candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to integrity and sound ethical practices, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work independently and in collaboration with other departments. Responsibilities:

1. Monitor research activities for compliance to applicable laws, regulations, and Houston Methodist policies.
2. Ensure timely review and filing of faculty, staff and student financial disclosure forms.
3. Develop and implement training programs to ensure understanding of research integrity and COI regulations.
4. Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to research faculty, staff, and students.
5. Review research contracts and grant proposals for COI issues.
6. Investigate potential COI violations and recommend corrective actions.
7. Develop and maintain COI policies, procedures, and guidance documents.
8. Prepare reports for management and collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance.
9. Escalate any issues or concerns to the appropriate stakeholders.
10. Monitor changes in research regulations, laws and policies and keep the organization updated.
