Job Description

Houston Methodist is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Pre & Post Surgery team. We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated professional to provide exceptional care to our patients and families. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience as an RN in Pre & Post Surgery and a current license to practice in the state of Texas. We are seeking an individual who is organized and detail-oriented with great communication skills and a commitment to patient-centered care. The successful candidate must have a passion for providing excellent patient care and be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide pre & post surgery care to patients in accordance with the standards of nursing practice.
  2. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff to ensure the best possible care.
  3. Perform tests, assessments, and medical procedures as required.
  4. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician.
  5. Monitor patient condition and progress, and document all relevant information.
  6. Collaborate with other medical staff to ensure the highest quality of care.
  7. Educate patients and families about pre & post surgery care.
  8. Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  9. Stay up-to-date on the latest medical practices and procedures.
  10. Comply with all hospital policies and procedures.
