Job Description

At Houston Methodist, we are looking for a professional and compassionate Radiologic Technologist to join our team. The ideal candidate must have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to think critically in order to provide quality patient care. The successful candidate will possess a minimum of an Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology, be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in good standing, and be licensed to practice in the state of Texas. Additionally, the candidate should have at least two years of experience in the field of Radiologic Technology. Responsibilities:

  1. Follow all safety protocols and regulations when conducting radiologic tests and treatments.
  2. Administer radiologic tests and treatments with accuracy and precision.
  3. Record patient information during radiologic tests and treatments and ensure accuracy of information.
  4. Explain procedures to patients to ensure they are informed and comfortable during the process.
  5. Maintain patient care and safety in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
  6. Communicate with physicians and other healthcare professionals regarding patient care and test results.
  7. Operate and maintain radiologic equipment and ensure it is properly functioning.
  8. Monitor patient reactions during radiologic tests and treatments and take appropriate action.
  9. Stay current on new developments and techniques in radiologic technology.
  10. Assist in training new radiologic technologists.
