Job Description

We are looking for a talented and passionate Practice Lead - Anesthesia to join our team at Houston Methodist. As Practice Lead, you will be responsible for providing leadership, planning, development and management of the Anesthesia Department. You will be a critical member of the leadership team, developing and maintaining positive relationships with physicians, staff, and other departments.The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience as an Anesthesiologist and at least 3 years of Anesthesia Department leadership experience. You should also have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be highly organized, and have a demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement strategies to ensure the success of the Anesthesia Department.
  2. Establish and maintain positive relationships with physicians, staff, and other departments.
  3. Lead and manage a team of Anesthesiologists and staff.
  4. Monitor quality of care and ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
  5. Oversee budgeting, scheduling, and other administrative tasks.
  6. Develop and implement policies and procedures for the Anesthesia Department.
  7. Provide education and training to Anesthesiologists and staff.
  8. Evaluate performance and ensure team members are meeting department objectives.
  9. Monitor patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes.
  10. Remain up-to-date on latest advances in Anesthesia.
