We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Patient Observation Technician to join the exceptional team at Houston Methodist. The Patient Observation Technician will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients during their stay in the hospital. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in nursing, health care, or patient observation and have excellent communication and observation skills. Our ideal candidate will also be able to multitask and have a caring and professional demeanor. The Patient Observation Technician is an essential part of the patient care team and will be a role model for other members of the team. Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor, observe, and provide assistance to patients during their stay in the hospital.
  2. Communicate with patients and staff to ensure patient needs are met.
  3. Document patient information accurately and thoroughly.
  4. Recognize and respond to changes in patient conditions.
  5. Provide support and guidance to other members of the patient care team.
  6. Act as a role model for other members of the team in providing quality care.
  7. Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure cohesive patient care.
  8. Follow all hospital policies and procedures related to patient care.
  9. Maintain accurate records of patient information.
  10. Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
