Job Description

Houston Methodist is seeking an experienced and reliable Patient Access Associate to join our team in providing excellent customer service to our patients. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the patient registration process, verifying insurance information, and scheduling appointments. The ideal candidate for this position is a detail-oriented problem solver with strong customer service and communication skills. We are looking for someone who is patient, organized, and passionate about helping others. Qualifications: • High school diploma or equivalent• Previous customer service experience• Ability to accurately input and retrieve data• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills• Knowledge of medical terminology • Experience in a hospital setting preferred

Responsibilities:

  1. Greet patients and verify patient information for registration.
  2. Manage patient registration process, including data entry, filing, and related paperwork.
  3. Verify insurance information and eligibility for services.
  4. Schedule appointments and provide patient education as needed.
  5. Maintain accurate records and patient data.
  6. Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and staff.
  7. Answer phones and respond to inquiries from staff or patients.
  8. Resolve patient complaints in a professional and timely manner.
  9. Follow up with patients regarding pending appointments.
  10. Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and procedures.
