Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional Patient Access Associate to join the Houston Methodist family. In this key role, you will provide outstanding customer service to patients, guests, and families as they enter the hospital. You will be the first point of contact for many patients and will be responsible for ensuring a smooth and efficient registration process.To be successful in this role, you must be organized and detail-oriented with a warm and friendly demeanor. You will have a thorough understanding of healthcare systems, processes, and regulations, as well as excellent communication and customer service skills. Responsibilities:

  1. Greet and assist patients, guests, and families as they enter the hospital.
  2. Ensure that the registration process is smooth and efficient.
  3. Provide excellent customer service and maintain positive relationships with patients and their families.
  4. Remain organized and detail-oriented in all aspects of the job.
  5. Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor.
  6. Have a thorough understanding of healthcare systems, processes, and regulations.
  7. Communicate effectively with patients, guests, and families.
  8. Ensure that all processes are compliant with applicable regulations.
  9. Monitor patient flow and provide assistance with any issues that may arise.
  10. Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
