Job Description

Houston Methodist is seeking an experienced, highly motivated Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in Total Joints to join our team in Houston, Texas. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about providing excellent care and patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will have the qualifications and expertise to provide comprehensive, high-quality and compassionate care to all patients.The successful candidate must possess an MD/DO degree and have completed an Orthopedic Surgery residency program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME). Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery is required. Expertise in Total Joints is preferred. The candidate must have a valid Texas medical license and possess exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive, high-quality, and compassionate care to patients.
  • Diagnose and treat orthopedic conditions and injuries.
  • Perform total joint replacement surgeries.
  • Implement patient pre- and post-operative care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families on proper treatment plans and post-op care.
  • Monitor patients’ progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with patients and their families.
  • Ensure adherence to professional standards, relevant laws, and regulations.
  • Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.
  • Keep up to date with medical advances in the field of orthopedic surgery.
