Job Description

The Operations Project Analyst position at Houston Methodist is an essential role for defining and executing projects and providing essential support to our operations. The ideal candidate will be an analytical problem solver with a strong operational background and excellent organizational and communication skills. We are looking for someone with a passion for process improvement and a commitment to driving operational excellence.To be successful in this role, the candidate will need a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Operations, or a related field, with at least two years of experience in operations processes and analysis. An understanding of project management principles and methodologies is essential, as is experience with process improvement tools, such as Lean, Six Sigma, or Kaizen. The ability to successfully multi-task in a fast-paced environment and effectively navigate between multiple stakeholders is critical. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, and the ability to think outside of the box to develop creative and innovative solutions. We are looking for a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment and is eager to support the mission of Houston Methodist.

Responsibilities:

  1. Define and execute projects to improve operational processes.
  2. Utilize process improvement tools such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen to identify areas for improvement.
  3. Analyze operations processes for efficiency and effectiveness.
  4. Develop creative and innovative solutions to process problems.
  5. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure success of projects.
  6. Multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Provide operational support and guidance to the operations team.
  8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices.
  9. Monitor and report on project performance and progress.
  10. Proactively identify potential risks and develop solutions to address them.
