Job Description

The Houston Methodist team is looking for an experienced and dynamic Nurse Educator - Cath Lab professional to join our team in providing world-class patient care. As a vital member of our Houston Methodist team, you will be responsible for providing educational programming to ensure the professional development of our Cath Lab nursing staff.To be successful in this position, you must possess a minimum of two years of experience in a Cath Lab setting. You must also have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited program and hold a current, unrestricted RN license in the state of Texas. A Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.In addition to the required qualifications, we are looking for someone who is passionate about nursing education and who can bring a strong personal commitment to excellence in patient care. The ideal candidate should be a team player and have strong communication and teaching skills. The Nurse Educator - Cath Lab will be a key contributor to our continued success in providing the highest quality care.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide educational programming to ensure the professional development of Cath Lab nursing staff.
  2. Ensure compliance with current state laws and regulations related to nursing education.
  3. Develop and implement educational plans and goals.
  4. Assess the educational needs of the Cath Lab nursing staff and develop appropriate curricula.
  5. Provide hands-on training and mentoring to Cath Lab nursing staff.
  6. Coordinate with other departments to ensure a safe learning environment.
  7. Participate in research activities related to nursing education and Cath Lab practice.
  8. Maintain accurate records and reports related to educational activities and outcomes.
  9. Monitor the performance of Cath Lab nursing staff and provide feedback.
  10. Communicate with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality of patient care.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Rn License In The State Of Texas

  • Bachelor’s Degree In Nursing

  • Two Or More Years Of Clinical Experience In Cardiac Cath Lab

  • Certification In Basic Life Support (Bls) From The American Heart Association

  • Certification In Advanced Cardiac Life Support (Acls) From The American Heart Association

  • Certified Nurse Educator (Cne) Or Be Eligible For Cne
